Couple Dies in Head-on Crash – Colorado Car Accident Attorney

A Wyoming couple has died after a head-on crash in northern Colorado. 9News is reporting that Stephen and Patricia Smith of Cheyenne were killed Monday afternoon. They were driving east of Windsor when a pick-up truck attempted to pass a line of traffic and struck the couple’s car head-on. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Teen Dies in Car Accident – Pueblo Car Accident Attorney

A 17-year-old boy was killed in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday just west of town. The Colorado State Patrol identified the teen as Eric D’Ambrosia of Gardner. According to the Pueblo Cheiftain, a patrol report states that excessive speed was considered a contributing factor in the crash. The accident happened on Road 550 about 3 miles west of town. The patrol said that D’Ambrosia was driving westbound when he traveled off the right side of the road. The car re-entered the roadway briefly before being overcorrected and veering off the road again. The car hit a fence before rolling end over end. D’Ambrosia was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, in 2008, 548 people in Colorado were killed in motor vehicle involved crashes. Of the 548 fatalities, 42 were pedestrians, 83 were motorcyclists and 56 were semi-truck involved.

A Colorado woman had died following a vehicle accident in Utah. The Denver Post is reporting that a 23-year-old woman from Meeker was driving west on I-84 when her vehicle veered into the center median then swerved back onto the highway before crashing and rolling. Rafting Accident – Pueblo Personal Injury Attorney

The Denver Post is reporting that a 20-year-old man has died while rafting on the Piedra River in Archuleta County. Sheriff’s officials say that Robert Reiter, of Gypsum, was training to be a river guide when he fell off his raft and became stuck under a submerged log. Reiter was among seventeen other trainees on a familiarization trip. The accident occurred in Second Box Canyon, an area that is inaccessible by foot.  Archuleta County search-and-rescue recovered the body on Sunday.

Deadly Car & Semi-trailor Crash – Pueblo Car Accident Lawyer

One person was killed Saturday in a crash involving two cars and a semi-trailer on U.S. 287 south of Pueblo. The Pueblo Chieftain  is reporting that Hilton Sease of Aurora was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash. The accident happened shortly after midnight on U.S. 287 about 18 miles south of Pueblo. The Colorado State Patrol said the semi-trailer was traveling southbound when it attempted to pass a Toyota Camry in a no-passing zone. The semi then struck a Chrysler New Yorker, killing Sease, and sending it head-on into the Camry. The driver and another passenger in the New Yorker were seriously injured in the crash. The driver and two passengers in the Camry sustained minor or no injuries. The semi driver was also unhurt in the accident. The driver of the semi was arrested and charged with one count of careless driving resulting in death, three counts of careless driving causing injury and one count of passing on left where prohibited.
